Our office is currently open to meet with new and current customers.
  • How long have your DJs & MCs been performing? All of the performers who work for Studio 27 have a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience, with most of our DJs & MCs having 15 or more years of professional experience.
  • Does Studio 27 DJs perform Live?  Yes, we perform at live showcases at select catering halls.  Visit our showcase page for the next performance.
  • What will the Dj and MC wear at my reception?  DJs and MCs are always dressed appropriately for your affair. Suits and Tuxedos are our uniforms.
  • What type of equipment do you use? We only use top of the line professional DJ equipment.
  • How much does quality entertainment cost? The range for our DJ Entertainment rates is from $2195 to $3550, with an average payment of $2550.
  • What are your payment terms? A non-refundable retainer fee is required at the time of booking with a signed agreement. Remaining balance is due 1 month prior to the event date. Payments can be made through our website using a debit or credit card or by mailing a check.
  • Do you have any backup plans if something goes wrong or happens to the DJ or MC? We always have DJs and MCs on call as a backup in the event of an emergency. In addition, all DJs have backup equipment with them should something fail.  This is a benefit of hiring a professional company vs. hobbyist.
  • Will the DJ play requests? Our DJs only take requests if you allow it. If allowed, our DJs “filter” requests, meaning they will not play a song that you specifically asked them not to play or music from a genre you asked them not to play. If someone makes a request that fits in well with what the DJ is playing at the time and with the music you want, then the DJ will try and play it.
  • Can we request songs for the DJ to play? You are able to pick which songs you definitely want to hear, and ones you do not want to hear, for your event. We have an online planning system for this.
  • Can we request a certain performer?  Absolutely.
  • Can we provide our own music for the DJ to play? Sure, but we would like to get the music file(s) in advance of the event. If doing this, please consider the audience attending your event.
  • Do I tip the DJ? We do not include gratuity in the final contract price. 10-20% is generally recommended if your DJ did a great job, but it is entirely up to you.
  • Will the DJ play overtime if needed? Yes, DJs are able to play past the contracted time, but payment is due at that time.
  • When should we book a DJ? A good time frame is at least seven to eighteen months out for a wedding. Less for other events. However, we have DJs available for last minute events as well.
  • Should we feed the DJ? This is not required in the agreement and is completely up to you. Typically, the catering hall requires that clients feed the vendors.  If you choose preferred vendors, often the caterer will charge a reduced fee to provide meals for the vendors.
  • What other services do you offer? We offer ceremony audio, lighting (uplighting & dance floor lighting), and photo booths.
  • How many songs should I request? We would like for you to at least give your DJ 10-15 songs of different genres and artists.  This gives the Dj and MC an idea of the type of music you like and then allows them to fill in the rest of the reception with songs your guests will love.
